International relations

The Federation of Estonian Chemical Industries (FECI) is a member of CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) since 2001. In the same year PHARE Business Support Program, in collaboration with two major joint projects CEFIC-CHEMFED and CHEMLEG, was launched.
The projects aimed to strengthen FECI structure and chemical industry on whole during the integration period of Estonia into European Union. This project lasted until 1stof May 2005 under the name of ChemFed/ChemLeg-2.
FECI has a close liaison with Estonian foreign trade missions in abroad, as well as with foreign embassies in Tallinn. In addition FECI has exchanged views with Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian chemical industry associations, discussing the problems of the Baltic region within the framework of Baltic/Nordic cooperation.

Since 2003 FECI is a member of A.I.S.E (International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products) and Cosmetics Europe (The Personal Care Association).
